Plenary Speaker - Laura Mendenhall
The Rev. Dr. Laura S Mendenhall currently serves as Senior Philanthropy Advisor at the Texas Presbyterian Foundation (TPF).
She was President of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA from 2000 to 2009, and she previously served four congregations. During Laura's time at Columbia and at TPF, the stewardship of one's life and resources have been a major component of her calling. Her engaging style, and unique perspective have made her a sought after keynote speaker for engagements ranging from Youth and Worship and Music Conferences to the Sprunt Lectures at Union Theological Seminary/Presbyterian School of Education.
Commissioned Lay Pastor (CLP):
Dr. Ken Sawyer, Associate Professor of Church History, McCormick Theological Seminary will lead the CLP track on Historical Theology
Ken's teaching and research focus upon Reformation topics, Anglo-American Reformed groups, Puritanism and New School and Old School Presbyterianism
New educational offerings:
This year, the WNLT will include Presbytery leadership training for the Committee on Ministry (COM) and Committee for the Preparation of Ministry (CPM)
